If Apple did this, they would cannibalize their own iPad 9.7" sales and create an expectation from purchasers that 7.85" (or smaller) tablets should only cost $200-250. After their competition dies, it would be hard to convince buyers to buy 7.85" iPad's at a premium again...

I had dinner with some IBM colleagues last night. This is probably not news to most of you. But I was informed IBM changed to iPhone 4S now for all employees and has dropped BlackBerry. That's over 430,000 employees worldwide folks!
It was only November 2011 when all my IBM friends were carrying BlackBerry at a conference in Las Vegas.
My point, large enterprises are dropping BlackBerry at an alarming rate in N. America. Head office decisions in great USA are spreading to branch offices across the globe. All this "RIM is dead" hysteria from the media is having an impact on CIO purchase decisions. It's prudent contingency planning on their part.
Things are going to get worse for RIM before it gets better. Look at Nokia stock price for guidance. For the next couple quarters, the financial results are going to be ugly.
Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but let's not drink the kool-aid. Right now RIM's only life line is the emerging markets until BBOS 10 comes out, then we'll see where the stock price goes.Evolution of Communication: Rotary Phone > Dial Tone > Motorola Walkie-talkie > Nokia 2160 > Nokia 6190 > Samsung a460 > Samsung a920 > BB 8700 > BB 9530 > BB 9860 > PlayBook 32GB > z-wait is over, BlackBerry Z10 for me - 05-13-2012, 09:23 AM

As some have said only spend as much as you're willing to lose. Sleep well.

OP needs to change the thread title to $11.80

if this hits $10 im putting in $5 000. Even at a 'very low' correlation to the ACTUAL facts this stock should be AT LEAST $20.------------------------> LIST OF WORKING Android Apps for Z10/BB10 ---190 SO FAR!!! <------------------------

Let me put this as succinctly as possible: As long as ONE investor still likes RIMM, it has not bottomed.

I could buy shares. Or... I could just pick up an overtime shift or three, forget about stock markets altogether, and drink myself into oblivion on my deck all summer.

RIMM is extremely undervalued. But as their market share decreases, and their top line revenue decreases, the stock could become even more undervalued.
Not a bet I would make, but if you believe that BB10 could be a real market player, there's a lot of upside.
I think BB10 will be WebOS all over again. - 05-15-2012, 07:37 PM #95

That is also my fear. The similarities are eerie:
This morning, RBC Capital raised its rating on Palm stock to outperform, and significantly increased its estimate of what Palm's shares are worth.
A note that accompanied these changes, written by analyst Mike Abramsky, said, in part:
We now believe webOS has raised Palm's chances for Smartphone leadership, through: 1) competitive advantages; 2) multiple devices; 3) global distribution
Palm is developed end-to-end smartphone software and hardware, providing a superior user experience, which we believe can offer a compelling alternative to iPhone. Rather than a one product Hail Mary, we see Web OS as a platform, spawning a family of devices addressing a broader market opportunity.
Abramsky expects Palm to sell 2.6 million webOS-based phones in the year after the launch of the Palm Pre
The RBC Capital analyst went on to say that it believes Palm shares will reach $12. The company started today at $7.86 but rose to $8.39 at close.March of the Smartphones: Handspring Visor with Digital Link > Handspring Treo 600 > Sprint PPC 6700 > Palm Centro > Blackberry Tour 9630 > Blackberry Bold 9650 > Blackberry Torch 9850 > Palm Treo 755p > Blackberry Bold 9930

Am back again .....happier than ever ....

Have been trading RIMM from 12.00 down to 6.80 ....and making
Was good to commit and follow the progress of RIMM rather than just wondering on the sidelines ....have been selling RIMM on spikes and slowly accumulating. Anyway figured that NOTHING is gonna change the direction of RIMM until BB10 appears so it'll be a slow drift to ?5/6.00 before launch of BB10. Have been trading with this in mind. And then hopefully if BB10 delivers it'll be a change of trajectory upwards; this is my strategy
And also finally got a BB9790
