my screen broke this past weekend and i just bought a replacement screen today and replaced the broken part...

now my problem is when i make a phone call the screen stays lit? i downloaded BBVE and i did the tests and the sensor is working ? so whats up with that?

Also now only my top speaker works and my bottom one doesn't... it only work when i press the bottom of the screen hard so the contacts have better connections but once i let go they are loose again...

    anyone had this before?

    Congrats on the repair.
    These things happen.

You have to be super diligent when removing those small connectors and ribbon cables. If just one tiny pin is bent or damaged, the whole thing can play up or behave erratically...

You might want to undo it again and check carefully. That's what I'd be doing. :-)

Maybe move to Z30 subforum for greater "specialist" exposure... :-)

I tried to undo everything and redo it like 10 times Lol..

It dont seem like I broke anything because the sensor works and the bottom speaker works, but they just act funny and that's not how it suppose to be. Wish anyone could help me here Lol the z30 forums are sometimes very dead

Funny, my phone speaker (not speakerphone) is broken after replacing my Z30 screen. I just learned to live with it and bring headphones with me wherever I go. Are you sure it wasn't because of whatever trauma that forced you to replace the screen in the first place?

Sorry to hear. Maybe there is a micro fissure somewhere in the ribbon cable, or something else, that's causing the problem.

    I'm only speculating...
Maybe you'll find out at a later stage. Good luck :-)
