I'm sorry, but this Crackberry site is get rather boring. I remember when I couldn't wait to see what was going on. Things have changed here and it not not fun anymore. I just come on maybe once a day now and I hate to say I totally lost interest.

Well, gotta keep up with things in the android world now.

Besides, if the Priv/Dtek50 were rootable, you'd see some action.

As a matter of fact, you can reverse it.. There is no source on any Argons getting released anytime soon. Thus there is no source denying the release of something fictional.

Chen said two devices (Mid-range). He talked and talked about how coming up with a high range device was wrong. Why do it again?.. Thurber confirmed this and said a PKB android device is coming soon. So obviously its the Rome coming soon. No mention whatsoever by management about a third device. Such things aren't kept secret to that point, if they're releasing one, they will tell people xD.

The argon is a fantasy created from rumors. I choose not to believe it unless they (Management) say a third all-touch device is getting released.

I get what you're saying OP! The days when we were all over OS leaks like a rash are long gone.

The same old topics keep getting brought up over and over again. In fact, I cringe when I see the words 'Whatsapp' and '2017' in a threads title.

Honestly, I think we're gonna have to ride this out and hope for more blackberry-related excitement to come along. Chins up comrades!

The release of the Rome is the next big thing for us around here. We've to wait but its definitely worth it. We will see some exciting days then. Also, we've the earnings call in Sep, so that should open up a lot of discussions.

BlackBerry is going Android substantially losing it's identity, also there's a million other Android forums over there.

BlackBerry10 will have had its faults but it was the fourth operating system and then it WAS different. We all know that it has not sold too much perhaps in whole or in part because the same factory has not believed in it enough or didn't promote it as it should have.
    But so be it.

I guess that there's not so much to say before we disperse us as a community ...

I find it decently active myself. You get what you put into it though. If you're a BB10 user, then I can see where there's a dearth of news, and not much to talk about in terms of upgrades, new features, etc. But on the Android front there's lot's happening. And the tone of this board is different than Android Central, or Android Authority, etc. It's BlackBerry focused but my sense is the majority on here are open to more than just BlackBerry and willing to talk about Windows Phone, Android, BB10 and iOS more freely and without sarcasm and rancor. In general.

Better than having the boards overactive with people flaming and trolling each other, imho.

    FINALLY!

In all seriousness, what's so hard about adding a dark theme to the Hub for AMOLED devices? Especially now that they're making it available to all Android devices?

I really don't know... we were told about it coming with BlackBerry 10.3.0 update, and it never materialised. My guess (just a shot in the dark) is that the Blackberry Classic was the first device to receive 10.3.0 officially (I think it came with it on launch) and BlackBerry themselves knew they weren't going to release another AMOLED device running BB10.

Could be, but that's no excuse for Android, especially now that they're making it available to everyone. I'm not a programmer, but I can't imagine it's that difficult and time consuming to simply invert the colours on an app? No?

I can just imagine the upheaval on the BB10 forums if BlackBerry did do that for their android port of the Hub

If I'm remembering things correctly, the dark Hub for 10.3.x rumors started from schmuck bloggers rather than from BlackBerry themselves. 10.3.0 launched with the Passport and 10.3.1 with the Classic, neither of which have AMOLED screens. The P9983, being a Q10 at significant markup for dim bulbs, did technically launch with 10.3.0 and with an AMOLED screen, but that still didn't bring about dark Hub.

Haha. Well, just curious to know your thought on Dark Hub for Android now that it's commercial? Is it really that difficult to add a Night Theme?

Most of my devices are LCD IPS capacitive so I get no battery gains, but to be honest I'm kinda partial to dark themes.
