I've been lurking here for quite a while, but this is my first post. Be gentle ;-)

I have never managed to get the Bold to work properly with WIFI at home. It works perfectly in the open network at work, but at home the problem is as follows:

It connects, and the WIFI-icon turns white, but whenever I try to open a webpage, or download a podcast the activity indicator flickers furiously, and I get a transfer rate of between 15-20 Kbits/s.
    I have tried:
    Rebooting the Dlink 524
    Resetting the Dlink
    Battery pull
    Upgrading firmware on Dlink
    Tried wpa, wep and opwn
    Added bold to DMZ
Forwarded the ports suggested on this forum
    Changed channel several times

And all to no avail. Anybody got any tips, or should I just replace the Dlink?

I would recommend the same thing. I was having issues with the POS Westell hunk of sh*t that Verizon calls a router. I got an actual modem and an actual router and everything is working great for me now.
