I have been using Blackberry since 4-5 years now and have used different models. Last week I bought Bold 9900. Everything seems to be working fine until I tried setting up my email accounts. Using Setup - Email Accounts. Under this option I see two options Internet Mail Account and Enterprise Mail Account. I can go into Internet Mail Account and setup any email account of my choice, but the problem is that when I try entering another account using the option "Add Email" it is not letting me add new Email address. In fact it does not show the list at all for Hotmail, Gmail etc. The only email I can additionally setup is <name>@<myprovider>.blackberry.com. This is getting really frustrating for me as I need to setup more than one email account. Any one else encountered same issue? If not, then can anyone suggest any solution for same.

I tried creating an account using <myprovider>.blackberry.com but it prompted me with the message that account can not be created using web browser, try setting up from within the mobile setup.

Any help will be highly appreciated.

    Thanks

Please fill out your profile so that we know what your carrier and location are. That is a big help.

in the email app, go to Options> Email Account Management> Set up another email account. From there you should be able to add as many account as you wish

    @jhanks64 there you go.

@DataThePanda: I wish it was as easy as you suggested.

Just wanted to add to my post that I added my official email address and one blackberry email address. Now the best part is, I don't see option of Adding New Email at all. It seems like it has some limit or something.

    Thanks.

I would check with Etisalat. Maybe the BIS version they are using has an issue and isn't the most upto-date.

    Just a guess.

Hey @jhanks64 I would highly appreciate if you get a solution to it. Its just that I am using Etisalat after 1.5 years on Bold 9700 and everything used to work like a charm. Now I bought 9900 and not sure what is wrong. If you get a solution please let me know.

    Thanks,
    Faraz

You should not need to setup your email accounts again as they are already on the BIS server. When you first activated the 9900 you should have received a message recognising the new device and asking if you wanted to move your email to this device. If you did not you may have unwittingly setup another account. Best to ask Etisalat to check on their system.

Did you login to the BIS website and change your device PIN? That's the easiest way, IMO.

@TrespassersW: Yes it gave me an laready registered email address which is my busniess address. Now I want to setup another email address and its not letting me do that.

@pmccartney: Its not letting me create a new account, and says use your phone Email setup option.

You shouldn't need a new BIS account. You login to you existing BIS account (using your PC) and change devices.
If this isn't working for you I wouldn't know why and I would call your carrier.

Just login to BB ID, all your previous email will popup and all that is required is to input passwords for each address. And if you want emailed pushed to your BB you do need a Blackberry specific Data plan.

Use your Blackberry ID with your BIS, or update it from your carrier.

    Yep, me too.
    It's very frustrating...

I can click on "Add another email address":

Then all I can do is: "Create a New Address" (my provider is called Free):

I don't mean to interrupt but how do you change the delete settings to device only? I have it for several emails, but a few I don't. I forget how I did it.
