- 9700 is the latest Bold on GSM. 9650 is the Bold for CDMA. They're both top of their respective lines on the carriers that offer them.10-24-10 10:47 PMLike 0
- 9650 is the latest to come out. Luckily, being GSM carrier customers, we can use both GSM and CDMA devices (if the CDMA phone is unlocked of course).
In November, a 9700 refresh will be released with a 5mp camera and double the amount of internal memory (512mb). It's called the 9780.

Just to clarify, not all CDMA phones will work. CDMA Curves for example, don't have GSM capability, and wouldn't work.10-25-10 12:40 AMLike 0 - I have the 9650 for work and it's an awesome CDMA device. However, I wouldn't use it in the US on a GSM network for the reason stated above.
As far as the 9780, it's a great device, I love mine. However, if you can wait, it may be worth it to check out the 9780. If you can't wait, I'd go for the 9700.

Not sure what it would do in Canada with regard to their frequencies and so forth with the unlocked CDMA Worldphones.

If I were in the OP's position, I'd wait for the 9780 to be released. If they just can't wait, go for the 9700.10-25-10 11:36 AMLike 0 -
