I thought it might be the unit (jabra 250v), so I purchased a jabra BT8040 and it does the same thing. It will pair but I can't communicate, but I can hang up and adjust the volume with the headset. My phone is a brand new 8310 that is replacing a 8700c which had no problems.

I have the 8130, so I don't know if this will help, but I use the Plantronics Voyager 510 and haven't had any problems with (*knock wood*) connection, voice dialing, etc.

Yesterday, I was on the BT with a friend for 20 minutes and she thought I was on a landline! That sold me!

I went ahead and returned the 8310 and got a new one. All works fine now..
