Is Bluetooth a software or hard ware? like could you upgrade your bluetooth by upgrading software? sorry if this is a dumb question i jsut really dont know.
Bluetooth is a radio device. I believe there are different standards (depending on the age of the device). You can't upgrade to a later hardware standard without buying a new BT device, but you can upgrade software/drivers. I have a USB BT dongle that I purchased a few years ago. There have been software upgrades that add functionality, but it will only be as good as the original hardware.
It's unlikely that you will see software upgrades for devices with built in BT such as ear pieces, headphones and even your BB.
