Default Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR <-> Bluetooth 4.0 LE transcoder

Does such a device exist? Or would it have to be a homebrew raspberry pi type project?
I.e. a little standalone dongle that would allow my BB 9900 / Playbook to talk to the new range of Bluetooth 4.0 LE devices.

My understanding is that the chipset in the PlayBook is capable of Bluetooth 4.0 however software support is still 2.1 + EDR.

Ok, I can't wait for BB10! Guess I'll just have to eventually take my PlayBook to the gym.

Great post didn't know it had those extra features in there!
