Anyway to get the 'mute' identification on the screen when u mute from your headset. Seems to work on my wired rim headset, but not my motorola headset. However the funtionality does work, just can't tell if its in mute mode or not by looking at the screen.

Anyone have a clue? I did notice that if I mute from the phone it gives me the icon and I could manage it that way, but means I need to keep the phone close by - defeats hands free option

Unless you BB adaptor sends a signal to the BB to tell it that it has muted, No. It's up to your bluetooth device to communicate status. Your BB won't know otherwise.

My Jabra will give you an audible alert every few seconds that you're on mute. I'm not sure of any headsets that report back to the phone that it's muted.
