Is there a way to block a telephone # from calling or texting my telephone #? I have a Q10. I've been getting unwanted texts from a random #.

I think there's an app called Call Blocker .

Or maybe try with service provider , if they offer a service.

Mr. Call app works really well and there's a free version - just not sure if it'll block text messages too though.

There are several solutions with independent or combined function applications. You can search BBAW for what your looking for. You should also be able to ask your carrier to do so. Blocking specific contacts or numbers with 3rd party apps requires 10.3 and above.

I cannot find any decent call blocking apps for OS versions 10.2. Not through BBW or Amazon. 10.3 seems to be where its at.

None of the call blocker apps work on 10.2
    .1

At least I tried couple months ago and they don't for specific numbers. It's supposed to work on 10.3

Anyhow, all you need to do is to get a notification app (any of them) .

Then set sound notification for this contact to "silent".

Then set led and vibration notification to "none"

In other words, you will never notice when that person is calling you but you will see a missed call notification on your phone.

You can do the same on text.

This is not a solution but a way to deal with it.

you can use the parental controls in the security settings on your q10. in the parental controls you have the options to only receive calls/texts from contacts only. the only drawback is that when you turn that option on, you have to rearrange all of your app icons and maybe redo the wallpaper.
