One of my Tmo 8900's will not boot up. Instead I get the red light blinking in sets of 4!! Is this a simple example of needing to reboot the OS or is this phone bricked and now just a paper weight??

Ok, I did a little research, and the news is not good. I'm afraid 4 blicking lights is the code for a fried board. Your BB is dead. It's probably beyond repair. Sorry

I googled it, and found threads from here, PINStack, BBForums, and elsewhere and they all indicated that 4 blinks was the code for fried ROM.

EDIT: One of them DID say to try Kevin's OS reload as a LONG shot, but it did not offer much hope of success.

Its ok.. I got more Just got a 9700 today and stiill have 2 more 8900's and an 8520 going into the Marketplace nbd~
