Good news , will be interesting to see how it actually pans out .
Now will they do the same for the price of the hardware instead of the usual £1 = $1 conversions ?

Edit - Re-reading the above link i think the interesting line is "Should you like to adjust the price tier for your content items in a given country you can freely do so within the BlackBerry World vendor portal at any time." Will app developers do this to keep the extra money flowing in from the UK ?

Actually managed to get into the new Blackberry World this morning (couldn't yesterday) and the $0.99 apps are still £1.00........
Couldn't see a £0.75 app
