    Default BlackBerry in US

Travelling back to Ontario somewhat reluctantly from a winter in Florida I stopped at a motel in Valdosta what did I see on the office desk... a Blackberry phone. not an OS10 but still a Blackberry. They are still alive here.

Lol when it's come to the point that people make threads off seeing "a" BlackBerry device in the wild, I think it's safe to say BlackBerry is pretty much nonexistent in the US.

The brand is all but dead and buried here in the USA, plain and simple. The failed launch of OS10 combined with the lack of any brand presence, advertising, product and/or customer support has scared away any future users. T-Mobile, my carrier who was once one of the biggest supporters of the Blackberry brand here has stopped carrying their products in their stores and you can only buy them through their online site.

Its fact that 99% of the consumers who buy a new smartphone want to touch it, feel it and play with it before they buy it, period. Live demos are a very important sales tool when selling these type of electronics at the consumer level. And having the device on display in the store lets the consumer know the brand is still alive.

Now when a future customer goes into a T-Mobile store and ask to see a Blackberry product and there is none on display, no demos to show them and are told they can only buy it online, the first thing that comes to my mind as a consumer is why??? All the other competitors have theirs on display, why not Blackberry!!!!! Enough said.

And for those out there who think this spreading hate and/or bashing the brand, come here to the USA and see for yourself, this is reality here whether you choose to accept it or not.
