depends on where you are. I just found out that one of BlackBerry's appointed channel distributor has set up a program for trade in of various phones, and will pay up to RM1400 for certain phones. Funny thing is, when you take the phones iiregardless with the highest or lowest value, they still sell at RM1899, for a Z10.

Not bad, if you ask me. I know some took the offer for at least RM300 (that's less than USD100) for their old phones. They'll take in any phones. However, one point sticks out: If you trade in a BBOS7.0/7.1 phone (the only BBOS6 phone that they'll take in is the BB9800) you actually get very good discount that makes no sense trading rival phones (HTC, SONY, except for the high end iphones and one HTC model, but can't remember off the bat, since they go for about RM1400 tops) because they actually give better discounts on your old legacy devices.

There's another thing though, not many of us knew, until it was already halfway, but from merchants I talked to, (just 2-3 shops), the response has been lukewarm. Definition of lukewarm? less than 100 traded in, but more than 50 [for every shop], within the trade in period which started beginning of October.
