Viber's calling service works on OS6 only in CDMA devices. In order to find out if your device is a CDMA device, we recommend to contact your cellular provider.

As much as we would like, the design of the BBOS 6 does not make voice possible. Implementing voice on BBOS 6 would result in 5+ seconds audio latency. Far more than is acceptable for a voice call.

For now, unfortunately there is no way to incorporate Viber's calling services on Blackberry OS6.

Dear Viber Team:
I am sure that there would be so many folks who would have alredy asked this question to you earlier. I am also sure that you all would be tired of answering this question to all of us now. However; as users; we all are facing issues with VIBER not getting connected from BB 9800. As VIBER is becoming essential slowly; don't you think it's important to have a fix soon? Is there a fix which is expected from VIBER in near future? I see many folks answering/replying and helping others on this website. Please help us.

You cannot upgrade a 9800 to OS7 and you cannot downgrade it to OS4, It's impossible because those OS versions are not meant for that device.

Have you tried re-installing the Viber application?
