I was wondering if anyone had any ideas of this issue I came across. I can access this program with gps/triangulation where I am at but another person I know in flordia can not use it to hone in on there position. They do not have gps enabled but I would assume triangulation still works right?Wrong?
are you talking about A-GPS or something else?
The one phone I use is a 8330 and my friend in Florida with his 8310 can not. I assume from what I have read that both of the phones use a-gps unless I am wrong. They've tried with the gps on the phone turned on and turned off with no success of at least triangulation. Also turning on GPS but not using Telenav the GPS function still works for other programs correct?
I believe GPS is unlocked for other apps with AT&T on all devices that have GPS in them.
There is no GPS locking/unlocking on GSM based phones -- any JSR 175 app can access the GPS info on a GSM phone, the locking/unlocking is an artificial limitiation that only exist on the CDMA variety.
