    Post BlackBerry Smartphone AND PlayBook?

Hello! Now, I know that LOTS of people have a BB PB & A BB smartphone...

I have a BlackBerry Curve 9360, and I'm currently looking to buy a 64GB PB!

I have thought more deeply into this, and realised, WHY do I want BOTH?

Is there any point in having a smartphone & a PB?

I understand that there is an added bonus of BlackBerry Bridge, etc. But that aside, what other benefits are there? They both are BlackBerry's, I know the PB has more memory etc.

Do you think I should buy the PlayBook? I would also like to upgrade/update to BlackBerry 10 on the PB, but if there is no point in having a PB & a BB smartphone, then i'll just wait until the release of BlackBerry 10 L-Series!!

Question again: Should I go ahead and buy the 64GB PlayBook, even though I already have a BlackBerry Curve 9360. Is there any point in having both?

    Thanks in advance!

Personally, the larger screen is a real plus. The web browser is much better than my Bold as well. Since getting my PlayBook, the only times I grab my BB are to access BBM Groups and phone calls. Everything else (calendar, messages...) I access via Bridge.

I also like a lot of the apps on the PlayBook better. Score mobile, IMDB, games, even the ability to video chat. They all seem to look and work better with the larger screen and the QNX-based operating system.

right now there are tons of things the PB can do that the current bbos even with a big screen cant. BUT that is going to change

I really will be interested to see how many people start leaving the PB at home once they own a bb10 full touch device. I hardly ever take my PB with me unless its to work sometimes. There is no need for it at all because my nexus handles everything i need and more. BB10 phones should provide a very similar experience as my nexus. I would think many people will now find they are duplicating their experience with a PB and BB10 phone.

I can see your point of view there^^^

However, many people have been saying to me, "why do you need both? e.g "They both do the same thing as the other... & Why carry both."

I find myself looking to persuade people into thinking that im making the right choice, but cant find any really good persuasive 'pros'!

What could I say to my mum :P she thinks it's a waste of time and doesnt really understand the greatness of BB10 to come :O

I currently have a laptop which was not long fixed, so she thinks its just a waste to buy a "Bigger BlackBerry :/"..... How can I persuade her to allow me to buy this **** REALLY GOOD PRICE ATM... £129 64GB*******

The Samsung note has surprisingly become popular as a compromise between tablet and phone.

If you really need the tablet, as in needing to use it while on the go super busy businessman always flopping through websites, viewing documents, pdfs, spreadsheets, walking down the street, get the playbook. Otherwise, wait for BB10, as howarmat said... it will be a clashing of purpose since a BB10 phone will be able to do exactly what the playbook will do, and you will be just like him, "why take the playbook when my phone can do that". Unless you want it for the games, or really just want it. Just make some crap up, it supports flash which is needed for work/school or whatever. Although for that price is not a much of a hit on the wallet.

    Thats GREAT

I just want one I suppose. I'm constantly getting new phones and, I don't think I'll be allowed to change for a while -.-, so I thought, PB will be waayyyyy cheaper than BB10 L-Series when it comes out and at least I can experience BB10 on the PB? FAILING THAT, if I DO have both, I could sell them and get BB10 L-Series? & Flash is a good point *for school 7 online homework -___-

I can see how it would clash, but I think I would probably only have one or the other. Either keep the BB1O OS PlayBook & Curve. OR sell them both together for L-Series?
