Ok folks I'm thinking of getting a BB in the morning on ATT and not sure what to get. I like the q10 cause of he keypad. But also like the z10 cause of the full touch....how's the battery life on the z and q? What do you folks think? Thanks

    Hey,

It would depend on which one would suit your lifestyle better... I used both devices and I'm much more productive on the Q! I'm a keyboard guy and the keyboard is amazing (The screen isn't too small either, surprisingly).

Battery life is alot better on the Q10 as it has smaller screen and AMOLED display... bigger battery and the black theme helps extending battery life. Q10 gets me past the day, while the Z10 does the job (depending on if you're an average user or heavy power user) but not as good as the Q!

It's hard to say which is better...what's better for me may not be the same for you! Go into the store, have a look at both and see which one you see yourself taking home! If it doesn't live up to the expectation you had, there's always that return policy!

Battery life is a bit longer on the Q10 due to larger battery size and smaller screen, but both are pretty good from my experience. It really is what's best for you. Media consumption? Z10. Huge communicator? Q10 probably but you should give us a bit more of what you need for us to help inform you

You have to decide for yourself, I like the Q10 for the keyboard/size, form factor, I use it as an texting email machine,The Z10 offers the screen real estate, bigger phone, great device.

If you watch youtube or lots of videos you might like the Z10, if your into texting/email you might want the Q10.

Are you going to be using it while on duty. If that is the case then I would advise the Q10 simply because the keyboard is more intuitive and lends itself to faster and more accurate typing, especially in stressful or chaotic environments. That has been my experience, yours obviously may be different.

Z10. I have both and the Z10 is the best device in the market period.

The Q10 is really good if you care about is emails, and even then, personally, i would go with the Z10.

Z10 - you will fully appreciate the OS. The battery is kinda bad but if you get an extra battery to switch it's totally worth it.

It takes a little to get to the keyboard but it does help you type faster.

I went back and forth as well but finally decided on a Z10 - and have never looked back. Coming from a Bold 9900, I was a bit worried about the onscreen keyboard, but it is fantastic, and I seldom have to type a full word since the predictive keyboard works so well. Battery is better (for me) than most on the forums would have you believe, but I'm pretty careful about which apps I load and allow to run in the background. Running the current 10.2.0.1047 leak has given me a full two days on one charge this weekend. Back to work tomorrow I'm sure to see only a day, but that's about what I expect. The extra screen real estate and the ease of making gestures on the screen are the real winners for me.

Oh, and one more thing about on duty use. I defy you to find one person who can say with a straight face that they can effectively and accurately use a touchscreen phone while wearing gloves. Q10 - 2, Z10 - 0

depends on your primary use .. q10 for communcations z10 for media consumption. my z10 battery life is very average but you can buy bigger batteries off ebay providing you dont mind a thicker phone as it comes with a replacement back cover to allow the bigger battery to fit

    And here is your answer..
    Go for Z10...
Its better for taking pictures and also a lot different to show to somebody...
    I had Z10 and also Q10...when I used Q10, I took pictures barely...
    I have 2 sons(3 years and 6 months)
Q10 was a great for comunication, but I felt bad, because you know how kids are growing fast...LCD is also a lot better...I dont think a battery life is so good on Q10..I expected a lot better battery life...
I am back with Z10...so its my advice to you...

Your choice will depend on a number of personal experiences and preferences:
    1) Is email your priority? Do you respond to 40+ emails per day? Then Q10
    2) Are you a past Bold user? Enjoy tactile QWERTY? Then Q10
    3) Do you value a long battery looking life right out of the box? Then Q10
    4) Are you an iPhone or Android user returning to BB? Then Z10
    5) Do you value screen size for multimedia and light email user? Then Z10
    6) Are you cursed with big fat fingers? Then Z10
    7) Most native apps are designed for Z10 and Android apps are better on Z10.

It will be up to you to make the best choice. Enjoy your new device.

I have used both devices extensively and it all comes down to which size phone you prefer. Personally, I have to be able to keep it in my front pocket so the Q10 works best for me (and that is why I am hoping for a z5 in the near future!!). Both phones kick major A S S. and as a qwerty fan, I must admit that I miss the z10 virtual keyboard.

Just think what you mostly will or want to do with your device and the choice will be a lot easier. When still in doubt after that, buy both and your problem is solved.

Q10 has a larger battery and more power efficient screen (Super AMOLED). And the screen is smaller than the Z10 -- another plus on the battery life side.

Z10 uses an LCD screen (which is easy to read in the bright sun by the way). And the Z10 has a smaller battery.

Other than the better battery life on the Q10 it comes down to more screen real estate on the Z10 vs. the great physical keyboard on the Q10.

I will say this though. The Z10 is the very first all touch smart phone I was able to type on comfortably in portrait mode.
