I was reading that James Yersh (CFO) will be ringing the closing bell on the NASDAQ on December 17th. I'm wondering if this is a positive signal of the direction that the company is going. I know there is no correlation, but why would Blackberry ring the bell if they were going to report crappy numbers on Friday? I'm hoping it is a good sign. Always cheering on Blackberry.

Perhaps it is just coinciding with the Classic release. But either way, I hope it is a sign to the market that Blackberry is looking good for the future.

17th is their big "Classic" release in New York.... so I bet it has to do with it, more than the Quarterly Report on the 19th. This is a common practice for companies to "arrange" for the honor to ring the bell to coordinate with new product launches and other marketing related events. If you want a sign of what the "market" thinks of BlackBerry and the future... look at where the STOCK is.
