    I'm sure most of us got a message from the "Blackberry Network Administrator" asking to upgrade your BBM after the outage.

    Curiously, the message header said: Received Using: Unknown

    Does anyone know how this works? Is it by some kind of PIN broadcast?
    Could similar messages be done by the Admin of a company's BES?

    im pretty sure it is a pin broadcast.

    and yes a BES admin can send out messages to the users.

    I forgot how PIN messages look like coming through. haha! BBM spoiled me. Could be useful for Disaster Preparedness, confirming meeting location, plan changes etc.
