Com'on people, we need a boat load of screen shots for those who can't get it. Chop-chop!

I've managed to download and run Navigator, although it failed to connect to BBM.

first impressions are that the features don't look as impressive as M8, the free sat nat I uninstalled... but I am going to try this app in anger tomorrow. e.g. M8 includes traffic camera alerts

This appears to be RIM product using TOMTOM maps.

the filesize of the app is 4.5 MB compared to the M8 at 6.5 MB.... though once installed Navigator downloaded further "resources".

further updates will be en route in due course... crap puns intended

Just wondering whether the keycode issue is due to the OS we're running.
I had a couple of apps that wouldn't let me enter my username & password on .746 or .794

I'm currently running Voda UK's .714 and have no issues... which OS are you guys running that are having keycode issues?

I can confirm the issues lies with the OS. I've downgraded from .794 to .714 and the issue has been rectified. Keycode has been accepted. Screenshots posted shortly.

Remember this is UK ONLY at the moment. Think it's very much like BlackBerry Traffic for you folks in US? I had to downgrade my OS to get past the Keycode Paste Bug. This is literally the Goviko App repacked by the looks of things.

hope so. Blackberry Traffic looks ancient.
But it works like a champ and very reliable. I love BB Traffic.

Hopefully the new Navigator add the beautiful UI but improve upon (*or at least use the same*) the algorithm engine for directions of Traffic.

    lol...not even close.

BB Traffic is a list of directions only (similar to your 5th and 6th pictures), no visual maps at all.

This looks amazing especially for BB7 and built using java. Wow It`s amazing what Thor has done to RIM and now I`m even more excited to see what the maps will be like on BB10. Although one question I have is are RIM going to be collecting are info to finally make their own maps solutions and yes I am aware that this takes years but I have heard that Apple is doing it with the IOS Maps.

It looks a lot like my Rogers Navigator app that i'm using, expect I have to pay a monthly fee to Rogers for it. Rogers Navigator is one of the best GPS apps that I've used on bb.

Iv restarted twice, uninstalled, reinstalled, still doesnt let me enter the keycode in any way..

Running 7.1.0.794 on Bold 9900 (T-Mobile UK), not sure if OS version has anything to do with this..
I had that problem. I just tapped in the field and then it let me paste.
Seems like a pretty accurate gps atm. Voice could be a little louder. Nice simple 3d display.
Would be awesome on the playbook

I have .794 and it worked for me. Curious. I had to reboot the phone twice though, but i was prompted to do so each time

Edit: my mistake i have .746 on 9810. Its late here lol

I only upgraded to .794 yesterday :-( may give it the weekend and then downgrade can anyone on a bold 9900 confirm if any version above .714 runs and allows the paste ?

    Morning

All worked fine this morning on my way to work.

    Only 2 issues -

    1. I don't find the operation particularly user friendly, but I'm sure that will come with time/use.

    2. When I choose "Default Audio Device" I get no audio through my Bluetooth handsfree which works fine with phone calls & Bluetooth audio streaming, so I have to select "phone speaker" which is not really loud enough with background noise - any suggestions?

    Regards

    Neil

Under Route Options - Mode. You have the option of Car, & walking. Do you also have transit?

I would love another option for transite directions as Google seems to be backing away from supporting anyone not on Android

    Hi
I have downloaded the bb navigator software and loads fine but I do have a problem with the GPS signal. The GPS signal keeps disappearing does anyone else have the same problem. I previously had run givoko maps which looks the same and had the same problem.

Someone posted this tip in the comments on the blog post so I thought I'd share; if you're not in the UK just change your address to somewhere that is in your Beta Zone profile and log in on your Berry. I'm in Australia and I have the app running fine.
