Really hope they manage to merge BlackBerry 10 o.s and android.
If they can run the qnx hypervisor backwards i'd be happy.

Original quote for porting our work app to android and ios was $30,000.

Real ***** considering we stood by BlackBerry when they released bb10. That's when we had to rebuild from legacy devices or jump to android/ios.

Are you kidding. You are not using a BlackBerry your using and android with a BlackBerry sticker. If you want BlackBerry apps use a BlackBerry.

BlackBerry has said there is no value in bringing native apps to Android.

I would buy that, but they bought their awful contacts app over, (although the android version is better apparently) when there are plenty of better alternatives out there.
I suppose you can argue they carried over the bare essentials

I saw that. I thought I'd give it a try. If their contacts app offered nothing over the regular one. I couldn't find anything substantial. They even almost look the same. I went back to Google's.

Did you notice any differences or neat features of BB's?

It is all about cost. Porting and maintaining those apps is expensive (even though people in these forms think other wise). I would not be surprised is BB is taking a wait and see approach on these apps. If enough people bought the priv and then BB might port those apps to android.
