Is there a way to change how long Messenger keeps the messages? It seems like mine is only keeping one or two days worth of messages, even though in my General Options I have "Keep Messages" set at 6 months.

How much file free do you have?
Go to Options, Status.
If you are under 12,xxx,xxx, messages, calendar, etc. will start deleting from your phone.
I'm at 19,000,000 bytes free... so I'm guessing that's not it?
How far back should a Messenger conversation go? I only have one person I use Messenger with.
With 19,...,... free, that's not it.
I'd love to help you, but I only have (1) BBM contact. And, I've only had one conversation with them.
Sorry!... wish I could help, but I'm sure someone on the forums will help.
Thanks though!
I LOVE BB MEssenger, I just wish I could make it store more of the conversation for a longer time!
The option you listed is not for BBM but for email and text messages
BBM will hold your conversation until you end it and then it disappears.
If you are looking for a way to archive BBM conversations try
this. Prior to closing the conversation press menu and then Copy
History. Then open Memo Pad and paste the history there.
Also keep in mind that doing this a lot will affect your memory as
the Memo Pad database grows. An alternative is to download
BBNotePad. This will allow you to store your memos on the
memory card instead of device memory
That's what I thought... and I'm never closing the conversation because she's the only person I BBM with so I just leave it open and have never ended it. She's able, however, on her T-Mobile Curve to scroll all the way up to our very first conversation, whereas I, on my Sprint Curve, can only go back one or two days. Is that because of the phone differences? I can't see that being the reason.
My BBM conversation shows up in my email (Messenges) list...for what it's worth.
