    yes first it shows a check mark with a D and then with an A

    from what I've been told... D means delivered and R means read... don't know about an "A"...

    When you say A do you mean that shows up next to the person's name? If so, I believe that means they are typing up their reply.

    On some themes "A" is the same as "R." "R" means "read" and "A" means acknowledged.
