Research In Motion has confirmed that it is set to launch a new BlackBerry-specific community site called MyBlackBerry tonight at Midnight Eastern Time. The site will be a place for BlackBerry users to socialize, share information and learn about new applications. Users will need to register to participate, but the site will be free to use.
Its nice that they are doing this, but shouldn't they try to focus on releasing OS 5? I can't wait to use the new BBM.

It's a safe bet, the folks doing myBlackBerry are not the same folks doing the new code. Research in Motion is hiring like no other corporation these days.
The hope is, RIM will create a showpiece social networking site, comparable to Facebook, MySpace and Twitter for BlackBerry owners to discuss BlackBerry issues and make BlackBerry connections.
We don't need codes. People are freaking out too much about this. The site isnt technically up until MIDNIGHT, so until then it's using a code. When the site is officially up and running, EVERYONE will be able to sign up and use it.
