I am having a problem trying to set up my blackberry again after my partner and i mistakenly used the same BB ID on 2 devices and
now they both have the same contacts and wont let one of us use BBM. I kind of restored the ne device and used my BB ID on it and its working now. The BB torch however is giving me problems im not sure how i can download bbm and reset the BB ID so that he has his own ID and not mine.
Please can anyone assist me.

I just went through this procedure because my former BB 9700 was married to my BlackBerry ID that I've had forever and it's tied to my current BB 9900. I deleted BBM, did a backup on DM and then the dreaded security wipe. Installed BBM, set up a new BlackBerry ID...restored my data from DM...everything went as smooth as silk. Now my 2 BlackBerry's can function independent of each other, in particular on BBM which I wasn't able to do before...good luck and I hope you resolve your issue.

I have the same problem....by bes Torch and my personal 9930 have the same id. Has been this way for 3 years....after the uprade to bbm voice is when my problems began. I can only use bbm on either phone not both. Which creates a huge problem for work. I need my work bbm contact separate from my personal as I don't carry my personal bb around with me at work...hard enough to keep track of 1 phone! I'm hoping to get this resolved before I receive my Z10 next week. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

^^^I believe the answer to your question is contained in the 2 posts before yours...backup...security wipe...set up new Blackberry ID...restore date on device...worked for me.
