    Hello,

Long time reader, first time poster.....

Is it possible to add apps to the hub to receive notifications from that app? I sideloaded Instagram and was wondering if there was anyway to receive notifications from Instagram.

    Thanks

I don't have a z10 nor bb10 but I believe native apps do but since instagram isn't I don't think so. For example if you get your podcast off of podcast or noblex it will inform you in the hub when a new podcast is available.

Currently, apps must be open and running in either the foreground or as an Active Frame to receive notifications in the Hub.

If it is closed, no go.

This feature is on BlackBerry developer tools road map and should come soon. Until then, apps will need to be open.

And since Instagram is a side loaded Android port, it will not work in the Hub I believe, but if Instagram chooses to officially release an app, then it's a possibility.
