I hoped that with WP10 they'd get some traction. It's not happening, but there's still a chance for the Surface Phone in October or so.
Much as I like WP10, I've just bought an iPhone6s+, mostly for the apps. I'm telling myself that it's just temporary, and I'll be back for a Surface Phone...

I told myself the same "temporary" thing when I bought a Lumia WP while I was waiting for the Z10 to drop. I never went back to BB.

I suspect history will repeat. Much as I like the whole WP tiles experience, I doubt I'll leave iPhone. I can see in 2 years that WP will be where BB10 now is... almost dead... and I'd stay on iPhone.

    It's a shame really.

Well, we will see on April 1st how the Priv is selling. With the exception of the one I own I have not seen one anywhere else. All I see are iPhones and Samsung Galaxy's.

If we're going to express our "sadness" over the fortunes of mobile platforms, to me this is sadder than what's happening to BB10, and I don't even own a Windows phone. That's because I'm resigned to the fact that as the mobile market has matured, only the big players have the resources to compete (as is the case in pretty much all technologies). BlackBerry isn't a big player, regardless of what might have been. But Microsoft certainly is, so I hoped that with WP10 they'd get some traction. It's not happening, but there's still a chance for the Surface Phone in October or so.
I was about to reply that W10 is still strong in Europe, but then I have seen these figures here

I am too for the HP X3.

    My Z30
    - full touch
    - stereo speakers
    - OS10

    Priv
    - Slider
    - No stereo speakers
    - Android.

    HP X3
    - full touch
    - stereo speakers from B&O
    - Win10 but better than Android

So the X3 meets my needs more than the Priv.
Had BlackBerry make an adequate Z30 follower with the specs of the X3, than I would stay with BlackBerry.

It'll take my priv with no stereo speakers instead of an os with a worse app gap than bb10

I have an 8310, mainly because of the form factor and the features of the hardware. The optical trackpad is junk in my opinion, and I like the physical feedback from a trackball better.

Amazon App store has at least equal if not more apps than WMP and plus BB world's apps. Plus the ability to install APKs for a majority of non GPS dependent apps on BB10.

It's sad, but there isn't much to work with these days in terms of new BlackBerry products or services. CrackBerry Kevin saw the writing on the wall, thats why he jumped ship when he did.

I used to check out CrackBerry a couple of times a day. Now - maybe weekly, hoping for news of an OS update.

I use several Android apps and most are not working very well, if at all.

Hoping an os update will help.

Have supported BlackBerry for many years.

If they do a good job with updates and connection to Android apps, I'm ok for awhile.

Something tells me it isn't gonna happen.

I noticed that there have been less and less new threads on CB, so I checked out CB's Alexa ranking and there are less people coming to the website with a graph showing visits in a steady decline.
Crackberry's fortunes are tied to BlackBerry's.
I would assume that the editors of this site are keenly aware of this as their revenue (and free phones) depend upon BlackBerry's success.

Sad to repeat but with no new BB10 devices in 2015 and none coming in 2016, it is the end of the road. It's a shame but it is the market. I have enjoyed by BB10 devices and will continue to use as long as practical. Thereafter it seem as the Android world is calling

From the hype you see on pro-WP blogs and forums, it's supposed to unseat iOS and Android as the dominant platforms, inspire devs to give a damn about the OS, and provide proof that all of the die-hard fanboys were right to wait for MS to finally gets its sh*t together. I'm not sure how, but...

Just to round things off, my OP was never meant to be taken as any criticism of Crackberry. They cannot report news if there isn't any. I do have better things to do with my life than get over-emotional about Blackberry hardware and the fantastic OS10. However, after spending 15 years waiting for the next development with eager anticipation, I'm only sad that it's come to an end. Like when you're favourite rock/pop group breaks up - if you're in to music? Best regards, Stuart
