I currently do not have a GMAIL account, but have a lot of friends with one. I use my Blackberry email. Is there a comparison or benefit to having the GMAIL now that it has notification if I already have my blackberry email?
I suggest using Gmail. If the servers are down, there is no way to retrieve your @blackberry email. If you change providers, you lose your @blackberry email. It just makes sense to use one email provider.
Not to mention there is a limit on the size of attachments you are allowed to view on on the BlackBerry. You can't access the BlackBerry e-mail address from a computer, so any files larger than 2MB you won't be able to view.
I would recommend auto-forwarding the emails sent to the BlackBerry email address to an email address you can access on a computer.
One other point against using the @blackberry.net address is that there is no way
to view them via PC. Big problem if you accidentally delete something important.
