I was visiting fido.ca and noticed that they aren't selling the Z10 and Q10 no more. The only phone they have left is the Q5. They even took off the Bold 9790 and kept the crappy Curve 9360 instead.

What the hell is this bullsh*t?

That's going to blow if it's true. Wonder what that does for updates. Maybe they're all PO'd cuz BlackBerry wants to sell unlocked on their website? I would actually prefer not going through carriers.

Looks like they stopped carrying it. You can search z10 and it shows, but when you click it the item has been discontinued. Same with the Q10

Perhaps they are revamping/getting ready for the fire sale layout?

Does anyone know how well the phones were selling with this carrier? If they were not selling well I can understand this. Businesses make decisions in their interest, not ours. Carrying non-selling inventory (again, if that is the case) isn't in theirs.

I really can't see a fire sale happening until BlackBerry's ownership situation is settled.

The relationship was financially beneficial to both Rogers and BlackBerry. Just as BlackBerry has to make decisions that work for them, Rogers is entitled to do exactly the same.

Definitely I think without knowing what the sales were on that carrier, or whether this is even a permanent decision it is a little ridiculous for people to be jumping on them at this point.

Not sure to be honest but I had to wait a week and a half because the z10 was on back order. (Toronto)

Yes it is. Koodo is owned by Telus, and Solo/virgin us Bell... etc. really NO competition for the big 3 here in Canada unfortunately.

I guess Fido doesn't see itself as serving many 'Prosumers'... so... yeah.

They'll probably regret ever using that damn term.

Lol well it's not just a BBRY problem at Fido. $350 for a two year deal is a tough sell.

Who uses fido anyways? I left Rogers years ago from horrible customer service and over billing in 2005 never looked back since.

My final straw with Rogers was a $5 late fee they sent to collections. Since I rarely rented movies from them was always blockbuster.

I plunked down $5 and told the store manager where to stick it!

Doesn't really matter which company you go with the big 3 pretty much run the show. A person just has to pick which one sucks less.

Telus has been good to me for cell service every other service they offer Internet or tv sucks.
