    Mine has times when it sets there a few mimutes and then finishes the task it started. My pc is also a vista.

    I uninstalled Roxio media manager, and it runs faster now. I had no use for Roxio anyway. It is easier to drag and drop the files using Windows explorer. I am also using Vista.
