    Hello,

I am currently looking for a replacement phone for the HTC Wildfire.

    These are my choices/options :
    1. Blackberry Curve 9360 - 21 P/M Contract.
    2. Blackberry Bold 9780 - 21 P/M Contract.

    The phone will be used for the following ;
In order from most to least :

    i. Socializing (Facebook/Twitter,. etc. )
    ii. Texting (MMS, SMS)
    iii. BBM (Blackberry Messenger.)
iiii. Surfing the Internet (Web Browsing)
    iiiii. Making phone calls.

I hope I have given sufficient information regarding the question, in comparison to your answer.

All advice and opinions will of course be greatly appreciated and accounted for ; Also, a reason for choice would be appreciated.

9360 because it has better specs than the 9780 and also runs os7
even though the 9780 is a BOLD, it is outdated.

    Hi,

As I can see you are in the UK. I would point out these links for you (I am not sure if it is allowed - feel free to remove them if this is considered selling.)

BlackBerry Bold 9900 on Orange Panther 25 Extra (24mths) inc. BlackBerry at BuyMobilePhones.net

    and

    Basket - Mobile Phones Direct

A very good deal!!! For the record, I have no connection to those companies! I just looked on moneysurpermarket for comparisons.

For an extra 5 a month you can get the amazing Bold 9900! Which is the best Blackberry ever!

I would initially suggest the BlackBerry Curve 9360, not only because of the OS7, but also because of the speed <3 I've been using the Curve for over three months and only once has it made a loading interface as for my brother's Bold it happens all the time :P The battery life is unnoticeable, I have used both and I haven't noticed a difference. Hope this helps

You can have your prestige. I'll take a faster processor, newer OS, slimmer profile and better keyboard(my opinion) any day.

@OP: The new Curve will out perform the old Bold any day of the week. If the cost is the same, go for the Curve.

both is fine, but i recommend getting the 9790 since its much better in my opinion, the 9900 is also good and has a better processor than the 9790 but its battery life is bad. Or you could wait until next year for BB 10 in the end its up to you.

I recommend that you get a Bold or a Torch (but since the Torch is not an option, get the Bold). I've had a Curve and I really liked it, but it's really the average BB, not a luxury device like others and the keyboard, in comparison to the one on the Bold, is awful. (Now when I type on a curve I feel like I'm typing on tic tacs)

In what world does the Curve have a better keyboard (okay, I love the Curve design, I think it's the more modern one) but still. Seriously?

The 9780 didn't really impress me. The battery live however is surely better.
I don't know, asked myself the same question sometime.

I've got 9360, everything is ok but:
    1. keyboard is a little bit small for my fingers
    2. battery life is quite low (BIS + 3G) = 18-25 h
    3. its made of cheap plastic, you can't see it but for sure you will feel it

I think the best you can do is save a bit, wait and get the 9790. It has all the pros of the 9780 and the pros of OS7.

Curve has better specs lol and looks sexy. It is thinner and has OS7. The newer the better

I chose the 9360 purely because it was newer, better specs, OS 7 and the fact the CB review on here basically said it ****ted all over the 9780 lol.

However, a Bold device is still a Bold device.

The browser is def gonna be faster on the new OS7 curve and the
entire phone overall with the improved 800mhz .
now the keyboard and the phone is gonna feel a little more on the cheap
side if you compare it to the 9780.
The 9360 from side and rear looks amazing and its only 11mm thick.
    its hard decision.

I went to the AT&T store yesterday with every intention of getting the 9360.
I walked away with the 9860.
The Curve felt flimsy to me.
