    Hello,

i just bought a blackberry curve 3G 9300 on pay as you go.

Iv got my blackberry connected to my wifi hub at home so i can browse the internet.

However, when i looked at my balance which was 20 originally, they had charged me for the brief visit i had browsing google.

why did they charge me if im using wifi?

Out of curiosity, go to "Manage Connections" and turn off Mobile Network and then try again.

when i turn off mobile network, and data services and roaming, the internet doesn't even work and says to try again later.

If i turn off mobile network, but have data services and roaming on, then it works. But again, thats probably costing me.

Why not call your carrier with a query?

Maybe try setting the browser to mobile hotspot from the browser settings? That way it will only work when wifi is on.

Go to the service books option on your phone and delete the service book with your carrier name.DO NOT DELETE IT IF IT HAS BLACKBERRY associated with it.This would probably help.

they charged you for using thier connection.
if you turn the mobile connection off and get no connection then you are not connected to your WIFI.

You should contact your carrier and ask them for the support as a part of the service that you pay for.
