The Passport was developed by the smartphone guys at Blackberry, Thorsten Heins and his team. The current CEO doesn't seem to be a smartphone guy.

You mean like the Blackberry Style? It was an awkward design and having a touchscreen will only make it worse.

So at a time when people are going for larger and larger screen sizes, when even Apple has caved and brought out a bigger screen iPhone, you think we should go with smaller screen sizes??

From the concept which Prem WatsApp linked to, what shocked me the most was the amount of wasted space.

Take the number of people not wanting a glass slab, take away those who don't want a tiny screen (you just can't get a large screen on a flip phone), then take off the number of people who actually know that BlackBerry is still alive and kicking. There you have your potential number of customers. I'm guessing that's a fairly exclusive club which would generate a grand total of 'not-a-lot' in the way of revenue for BlackBerry.

Q10 with the genuine top-down flip case is not that far away, tbh...

Flip case doesn't have a small screen outside for notifications, just the little red light. Such a screen would certainly be an advantage. :-D

This is off topic -- the only peaceful demonstration I've seen has been outside the courthouse. CNN has shown the burning police cars, buildings, looting and talked about the threats toward the police. Not that I'm defending CNN, because they do often report overly hyped garbage.

3 inches touchscreen super amoled display would be enough for clamshell phone.
Add swivel function there. Rotate camera in the hinge. And keyboard function which also can use as scroll mechanism like one on passport.
