As written in an German newspaper called Sueddeutsche Zeitung BlackBerry is buying Secusmart and it's security technology which is i.e. used by Angela Merkel.

Well we know BB can't afford it... It's not buying marketshare so how to recoup the cost? Three CEOs later still spending on buy ups, with BIS subscriptions revenue going down and handsets not selling to break even...

    Clueless boys clubs...

Just for my personal understanding: your personal opinion or does this represent the official position of Orange UK?

You haven't answered my question. Wonder how Orange will respond officially to the bashing of BlackBerry on CB forums?

Excuse me? Troll, take that back and apologise.

I'm entitled to opinion without being attacked.

No to clarify boys club accusation, I'm not employed by BB.

My siggy clarifies my position, how can you expect me to clarify a "bashing?" opinion that is not my own...

Also Orange UK as a brand has been dumped, as has BlackBerry. Know your facts before you and your BB teammates above start bashing myself or any other Crackberry user for having a opinion that does not fall inline with BB official stance. It's not France Telecom Orange that is hitting the wall, even with 50 billion euros of debts because people still need landlines and Internet it still has a revenue incoming, killing them off would be like killing BIS off.

Orange does not have its back against the wall, losing sales and revenue and spending money on buying up third party companies whilst a hemorrhage on its cash reserves are ongoing...neither is its CEO throwing the company of for sale with debts that make BB look like the little boy its become.

By all means on my opinion question myself, but get your house in order before you attack, with facts, and don't walk in with your Chen V T-Mobile attitude spouting off to your own detriment.

So sorry all here do not share your opinion that BlackBerry's acquisition of SecuSmart was a poor decision. And the sale of the Company was not during the tenure of the current CEO.

You didn't contest my opinion, you went Chen V T-Mobile bully mode, exactly the issues with BB right now under this CEO. The sale of BB has been as was then, hemorrhage on the cash reserves, no change there then Chen and Co.

This was an excellent acquisition, it solidifies BlackBerry as the most secure device out there, it also augers well for the continued manufacturing of handsets. BlackBerry was,is and will be the Gold Standard in Mobility. The naysayers don't know what they speak of, the realm of this acquisition goes way beyond just handsets as there is also a landline division as well. BlackBerry is moving in the right direction, they don't need to be anyone but BlackBerry.

They want to compete with the Blackphone. They do not have the encrypted voice technology. It just adds to it.
