BlackBerry with the BEST Battery life

Hi Crackberry nation, I have a question for you. My 9900 runs out of battery in 3/4 day and I remember my 9700 lasting more than 2 full days so I am going to downgrade in a month.

My question is: in your experience, which BlackBerry mentioned in the poll had the best battery life?

Load a new OS on your 9900. I have the Official Rogers one (.391) and im getting great battery life.

I have a 9900 and find if I am in a good signal area (work) then it lasts forever, but if I am home alot where the signal sucks I get much less. On a good day I can go from 7am till at least midnight and not go below 50%, but on the weekend if I am home alot I get down to about 30%.

Mind you the signal at home suck big time. Half the time I dont get even 1 bar.

My 9700 & 9780 were pretty much identical, so I picked 9780 in the poll.

on OS 7.1.0.402 I get great battery life...3.5%/hr drain the last time I checked! I use it 90% of the time for email/BBM and a small amount of browsing, no bluetooth, GPS or other battery hogs constantly running in the background. Asleep in holster when not using.

9700 & 9780 are even, if you are going to pick one get the 9780 since it's newer.
Try to load the OS version .391 and see how it works out. But nonetheless you can't beat the 97XX's battery's life.

Couldn't vote since the choice es are very limited; my 8330 Curve lasts for over a week.

The 9700 is a beast! I've neve owned the 9780 or the 9790, but would bet the 9780 is on par with the 9700. I've read that the 9790 doesn't have the best battery life (compared to previous version). Honestly speaking: if email and text are priority an OS5/6 would work perfectly with killer battery life.

Odd that you want to downgrade from the 9900. I would definitely install another OS before giving up on it.

as a 9900 and 9790 user, I get about 20% better battery life from the 9790 over the 9900 with exact same usage running the same OS,

that said, the 9700 beats my 9790 in battery life, it doesn't do as much, and takes longer to get a full charge out of, but it does last longer.

I would say the 9790 is the most efficient battery user, but the battery is too small

I can't really say for sure since out of the 3 options i only have 9700. 9700 and 9780 has the same processor, same battery capacity, same os. Where as the 9790 has a higher processor, smaller battery, but a more efficient os. Overall i would think that 9700/9780 has a better battery life though.

I also remember my old Nokia that I could use 4 days without charging it

If i had to say so the only thing i dislike about the 9900 has to be the battery life. Yet I was able to endure the bricking episode that drove me nuts. The new upgrade resolved that problem. That's what I love about blackberry. There always offering solutions to its users. Sometimes not as fast as we would like, but when your addicted to your blackberry your usually willing to endure just about anything .

I must say the 9700 has the greatest battery life overall.. I am using the 9900 and yes the battery life indeed is horrible.
My friend is using an extended battery, and im planning to get one too..
Try checking out the 1600mAh or 2000mAh JM-1 extended battery, it is said to increase 20-40% battery life.. im waiting for mine to be delivered

My Curve 8520 & Bold 9650.
My Curve 3G for some reason drained very fast. Back in high school by the time I got home (3 o'clock) it was more than half drained.

But my 8520 & 9650 lasted about two days with heavy usage (tweeting, FB, and music)
