So I just got my Blackberry Curve 8310. N it came from Ny with a Battery Icon on the screen, with a red stripe. Been charging the Phone since 7:00pm.. Nothing's happening. Does it require to be charged for hours in order to work? Or could it possibly be the fact that the charger is not working?? HELP!! Am new to this!! :confused:
How are you charging it? USB or wall adapter?

Wall adapter. I had a dude order the phone for me, And it just soo happens that he sent neither the usb port or cd. So am stuck with one option.
That image usually means the battery is of the wrong type, or
and I hate to say it, dead. Not dead as in out of charge, but
dead as in unchargeable. Can you get another battery from
someone to test whether it powers on.
I was going to say if you are getting that icon then either the battery connections inside the phone are hosed or the battery is hosed.
Welll.. I'll have to wait until tomorrow & go to my Carrier and get a batt.. Am at work.. So no one around here can switch batts with me.. Thnx Guys..
