    Hey all,

Just for fun I asked BlackBerry Assistant on my Passport if it was better than Siri, and the answer was quite funny I thought.

    Just wanted to share.

I find BB Assistant quite good compare to Google now or Siri. Yes it could use some improvement like speed but other then that I'm quite happy with it. I barely use Siri on my iPad and with my last Samsung Galaxy phone, I hated using Google now because when I speak out loud in public the results where never accurate so I have to repeat myself and yell into my phone. Frustrating and embarrassing when you're in public. With BB Assistant I can quietly type my search in public places now. Hehe.

BlackBerry assistant has improved in the speed in which it returns results. I guess this happened in the last few OS updates. Prior to reading this thread I had not used BlackBerry assistant for quite a while due to the fact I found it really slow.
But pleasantly surprised that it works much faster.

Siri is still better than BlackBerry assistant. Assistant may have a larger functionality than Siri, but Siri is much more fluid.

I use siri more than I use BlackBerry PA, I like the hands free while it is charging. Just say hey siri then get her to do what I want. I haven't even thought if the BlackBerry PA can do that, maybe I will try after. Having a name really is a good idea.

I just set-up a cheap Windows 'phone for my wife, and Cortana is really very good. Blackberry Assistant is utterly useless, however. It almost never works for me. Is there a magic fix? I have 10.3.1.1565, but Assistant now seems even worse than the previous iteration!

While driving, I tap my phone on my Smart tag, and then ask the Assistant to Play Music. Works like a charm. I have used it for many other things and been happy. My husband yells at his Google Now. We just ask him to type, lol.

I can't get the NFC to launch the Assistant. It's the only thing that I don't see in the write to NFC programing options to launch certain apps...
