Reverted back to female voice US English and she gets me.

Apparently it doesn't understand us very well either. Someone at Apple never realised we have things called accents over here....

Well because the typical guys voice sounds DAMN creepy on a device used by more men in the corporate world, although more women use BlackBerry's than men do on a global scale still.

If I had the choice to use a guys voice - I'm a man - on my BB10 device it would be:

Morgan Freeman
Al Pacino - Scarface voice (LMAO can you imagine Blackberry assistant's voice feedback like this?)

Actually, the french version is male. I just downloaded it tonight and I tried it. The BlackBerry Maps navigation voice is female though, just as before.

To be fair, that can happen in the US as well. In fact, driving to Canada (an entirely different country) has less of a change in accent than driving into Brooklyn or Boston.

I watched some show about swamps that was filmed in Louisiana and they had to put up subtitles even though they were speaking English.
