Cause everyone expected way too much, as usual. It was a well done 30 second commercial. And just the start of the advertising. Just from the stores I have been in (pre-launch here in Canada) the advertising is looking good. Keep moving forward!

Does not affect my love for Blackberry but that commercial did not fit with other superbowl commercials. It was like a blip on the radar. Over quickly and didn't tell me ****. Would have been better suited to air during a regular network broadcast like American Idol. It totally got blown off the stage by the etrade baby. I liked the catchphrase that it is easier to show what it can't do in 30 seconds but elephant legs and the sewer to the truck thing was stupid. Could used alot more WOW and Action before the money shot and catchphrase. Even sadder is that most commercials have been trending on twitter immediately after airing. The crickets are chirping on Twitter.

Meh. 30 seconds is not long enough for a product launch. It was alright, not great.Innovation requires a partnership, the user and the maker have to be willing to change to achieve it.

I will note that at least Blackberry's commercial occurred in the first commercial break after the power outage, rather than 15+ minutes after the power outage when many people got tired of waiting and turned off their televisions.http://mowned.com/sig/chip72.jpg

It's like the most creative way you can find to waste $3.4M and re-introducing BlackBerry to America. IMHO, if you just play the last 3 seconds 10 times over the 30 seconds period, it will create more impressions and discussion in US than this.
Or it's like a commercial made by a competitor for BlackBerry, through some conspiracy strategy to get BlackBerry buy-in into this idea. Yeah, that's how bad it is.
Kevin's article reads like a defence for the idea already because Kevin knew this idea needs to be defended. If it's really good, we all know how Kevin would react --- he would behave like a crazily hyped kid, do you smell any excitment in his article?
Let's keep it real here shall we?
