I have seen the videos, but I wanna know, if we can take pictures, while shooting a video, seems very possible with the new interface, but has anyone tried it?

I just really hope they keep improving the focus speed and indoor picture quality

I have countless friends that said they would switch to a z10 of the camera was better or st least as good as their iPhone.

It's funny, but the camera feature is a feature that actually sells and is actually used. A device that takes high quality pics will always be on demand

Yup, agreed, idk y but BlackBerry just doesn't have the technology or the interest in creating good cameras, in a market of 41 mp an 8 mp, ok, debatable that mp is not everything, but quality can be improved, most of my pictures are indore in a place like Dubai where the sun in too hot to bare, and most of the amazing places are low light, but my phone is not so happy with that :\
Also the front facing camera has no adjustable focus, and every picture I take, the result is much darker then the preview.

Ok I can keep myself from being a camera addict, but the market for cameras is HUGEEEE.

I hope the auto-focus is back when it is video recording. Now it is only manual focus when it is video recording.

13mp coming on the q30 so they are upgrading. Camera spec going forward. Yes the camera does matter even for business purposes

iirc the camera specs are decent for an 8MP shooter, so the poor low light shots are the result of undeveloped camera software. Put a couple of engineers on it and fix it! This should be fixed asap because cameras are one of the most important things for users.

I tested the 10.3.0.140 and you are right 1000% cause in that build the camera is faster and the pictures quality was superb so is just software. Waiting for official 10.3 love #TeamBlackBlerry

Does the 10.3 camera feature low light mode? Or some big improvements to low light shooting?

I hope so too, so I can actually use my camera indoors. If they fix this, I'll have faith that they are focusing on the things that matter

I just finished playing around with the new 10.3 leak and the camera is a BIG improvement. Faster focus, faster shutter response and much improved photo quality in all situations. The low light clarity and color reproduction is vastly improved.

And yes, you CAN take photos while recording video.

Can't wait for this OS. Right now I'm just playing around with it on a spare Z10.

    Camera software options enhanced also.

I really hope you are not over exaggerating the camera improvements in 10.3 because we all know just how much help it needed ( low light) , possibly you could attach some pics cheers. Patiently waiting the update.

Most of it is software related, but also keep in mind, the size of the lens makes a big difference too. Look at all the new lens on all of the new phones that are released. They are considerably bigger then the one on the Z10 and the Z30, hence they do take better pics in low light situations. I too am glad that they are improving the cam features as well. With digital cams becoming obsolete soon, we need good quality cams on our phones. I know it is a phone first of course, but it's nice to have these things improved upon.

I really have more faith in BB then I have had in the past. If you ask me, I think they are making great strides in finally getting it right and listening to the users input on certain things. It's the way it should have been all along. I really like what Mr. Chen has done thus far. I am certain things will continue to improve, and only get better as they say!

Sure, a lot of these things were planned and thought out way before Mr. Chen, but the difference is his execution to implement these changes. He's all over over it
