Is anyone else having issues receiving emails on BIS? I have t-mobile. I am not receiving any emails nor is my browser working. Just wondering if anyone else was experiencing the same issues.
Thanks.

Did you try resending the service books? This helps in a lot of cases.:p
I just had to do a battery pull. Everything seems to be working now.

A battery pull will fix about 95% of BlackBerry issues, especially connection issues.

In this case I doubt that a battery pull will solve the issue! Yes "kmbuck" I have been experiencing the same issue since 03/01/08 around noon when it was first noted. I have a Verizon 8130 and have had it less than 60 days, prior to the 8130 I had a 8100 w/T-mobile but couldn't get coverage where I work on that device. Never had any problems with the 8100 except for coverage. Any way I took the 8130 into the corporate store an was there for 2 hours while they tried in store to get it to work and then called tech support neither was able to resolve the e-mail issue which by the way was the only problem with the device (except the Verizon manager said she had never seen a berry respond so slowly and was changing her mind about upgrading her Treo to a 8130). They did everything you could possibly do to resolve the e-mail issue several battery pulls hard reset, soft reset even wiped the device completely. (Note of interest here is that even after a wipe some of my 3rd party software still remained on the phone, Empower being one of those applications). I should also note here that I am a computer engineer and everything that they performed in the store was a repeat of my attempts at home. My 8130 has 2 e-mail accounts on it vzw.blackberry.net and windows live (hot mail) neither account would send or receive e-mail. Everything else works just fine. It finally ended when the store manager convinced the phone tech person to send me a replacement(seems they can't give you one from the store inventory because as I waited in the store I saw several Pearls being purchased).
My replacement should arrive today however the store manager told me how to identify if it was a refurb or a new device. She stated if it were her she would not accept a refurb to replace a 8130 that was less than 60 days old (heck I haven't even gotten the rebate yet)! Then on 03/02/08 the device kicked in and started to receive e-mails again although it does not seem to be 100% because my alerts I have set do not work correctly.
You might also reference the post call "another outage" in this very forum because we are not alone with this issue.
Very very strange, so it was a device issue, and not a local outage for VZW if others were sending/receiving.
(And, by the way, a wipe from Options > Security is not supposed to delete third party applications, only the personal settings and data within the applications.)
Search this forum for the post "Is there another outage" posted on 03/01/08. You will see that several 8100's and 8130 owners all with different service providers all across the US are having these strange issues. Anyone from RIM have an idea?
I haven't seen that thread, but I know there hasn't been another outage recently.
RIM did have some device provisioning downtime this past Saturday, but BIS service was not affected... otherwise, no outage, and there is not such thing as device-specific outages. Across carriers, yes; and spotty geographic outages, yes. But not for only the 8100 and 8130 models.
And, I am not saying those devices are not having some issue, but it likely is not a RIM outage.
That's what I figured so the whole thing is a mystery? I guess I'll wait and see when I get home to see what Verizon has sent as a replacement? And if it works any better!
We could call Scooby and the Gang to investigate.
Yea but only if I get to work directly with Daphne (Sarah Michelle Gellar)
