For those of us NOT on a BES, what is the best way to sync calendar and contact information OTA? Google calendar is okay but it screws up my contacts where you are unable to search by first name on the Blackberry. Anyone know any other solutions? Thanks.

I use thinkpost.net and have not had any problems with it screwing up the searches but it's not a free service.

I know of google sync but somehow it will delete some contacts but others it will continuously re-add them lol...otherwise i would suggest google sync.

Google sync has caused me WAY too many headaches in the past. Looking for another solution if possible.

There Blackberry Professional Server Express available at the BB site.

I've downloaded it but not yet installed it. Otherthan this or BES, I haven't found any tool that allows OTA sync without either Outlook first talking to a third party server or you having to leave Outlook open and running on a PC somewhere.

Has anyone else used this? How is it for personal use?

I love Google almost as much as I love my BB but agree that the sync messes things up. My calendar keeps getting duplicates...grrrr.
don;t know any free solutions. I'm willing to pay!

Agree. Not sure why some users are always having difficulty with it?! Maybe a reinstall would help.
