Re: best spam filter for Blackberry ?
I want to have the option of filtering by subject, body, domain and sender. the built-in filter is pretty basic and I don't even know, what rules it has applied the filter. Moreover, I want to sync my BB with my MAC. in-built filter will jist block the mails coming to the devive.

I always used BerryMail by Bellshare.

* - Set high priority message flag
* - Set low priority message flag
* Create rules right from within your inbox by using an e-mail as the template
* Create rules right from your address book

Re: best spam filter for Blackberry ?
berrymail is not available in India. neither, it can be bought from bellshare.com. I contacted bellshare support quite a long time back and got no response. even, the developer, who is currently active in this forum with bebuzz beta, is not responding to my PM.
I have MailMinder installed on my devive. but sometimes it misses the rule and shows the LED and popup.
btw, I own Bebuzz core and bepopup. - 12-04-2012, 10:31 AM #7
Oh, Ok. I had no idea you're in India. Your profile doesn't indicate that.
Sorry, I wish I could do more for you. Maybe someone else has a better answer for you.
The BerryBuzz beta has BerryMail integrated within if you wish to try it.
Hope you get it sorted soon.

LoL.
It's pretty simple.
Open BerryBuzz Beta.
At the top there is "Add Contact/Rule". Click on it.
A "Select Contact Type" pop up will appear.
Scroll to the bottom and click on "Email Rule".
You can create a new name for the rule if you don't want the default "E-Mail Rule" name.
In the address field, type the email address you wish to block. (you don't need to do anything else with the other options)
Scroll down to the bottom and click the "Advanced" button.
Select the "Delete Message" check box. Then click ok.
Voila! You have created you email spam rule for that address!!!
You can also get this done quickly & directly by receiving the email, highlighting it, then pressing the menu key and selecting "Add BeBuzz Rule"
As long as you perform regular backups as you add more, there is no problem with restoration when you wipe or upgrade.
Any (good) email filtering application would have the same options.MY TAKE ON THE BOLD 9900... I DON'T KNOW HOW, OR WHY, BUT IT WORKS!!!
