    Default Best new email host

    Hello,

I want to start with a new email address (currently on yahoo getting more and more junk etc)

I am not toooooo keen on GMail, so

What is the best email domains for blackberry users? Is it Hotmail.com? Yahoo.com? Gmail.com? Any other you can recommend?

    Thanks

Outlook.com is actually not bad if you don't want Gmail.

I'll second that. Not as good as gmail IMO, but probably the second best out there.
Lots of non-obscure addresses still available as well.

With regards to outlook mail, I recently had a very bad experience. I had intended to use it as a back-up email address (getting "my name"@outlook.com) but after setting it up. there was a mass email announcement (not at my prompting) to all my contacts in contact list saying I have switched over to my outlook email address from my regular gmail email address. This is obviously not true so did not know what happened there. Not too impressed with outlook.com now but can't even delete it now because of this fiasco.

I am liking the Outlook so far. Just started using it as it is a quicker "Push" than my old Yahoo.
I hated Gmail, but that was only on my desktop, never had it on my phone

Ive set up Outlook account and put it on Thunderbird but it says

"The STAT command did not succeed. Error getting message number and sizes. Mail server pop3.live.com responded: Exceeded the login limit for a 15 minute period. Reduce the frequency of requests to the POP3 server."

Seems to work ok on my BB but I need a good all round email address for my desktop too!

I'd recommend using active sync instead of pop3
    Go get some apps!
    DocuShortcut - Free homescreen shortcuts
Symptom Journal - Track medical symptoms and causes (Built For BlackBerry)
SkinEd for Minecraft - Create and share Minecraft skins

Don't even bother with Yahoo!! I'm done with it. Just spend a few hours migrating all my yahoo accounts to Gmail. Giving me so much problem with my Z10 and Playbook.

Gmail really has worked well for me. I wouldn't consider another provider for email. Definitely not Yahoo! or Hotmail. Everyone I know with those accounts gets hacked.

Gmail isn't immune to being hacked.

I love outlook.com. The only issue is the calendar synch on my Bold 9930, but the Playbook works outstanding. You may want to remember this though, all free email has or will eventually have issues. The problem comes from the company wanting money and how do you think they get that money? Thats right, advertizing. I remember when Yahoo was the email to have, and now look at it. Hotmail started off good too, now it's Outlook.com that's great. Free email only lasts a while before going down hill in my opinon.

Of course it isn't. I never said that it was immune. It's just that my friends with Yahoo! and Hotmail are always getting hacked. It happens at least once a month. I have 5 Gmail accounts, and I have had them for quite some time. Never an issue.
