Google Maps is awesome. It doesn't do voice navigation, but the turn-by--turn maps are great. It's very accurate and detailed. I do wish it did voice nav. Also, I wish that the traffic feature was a little more detailed. I rely heavily on that for my commute home from work (getting there is never much of a problem.

I agree Googlemaps is incredible, save the voice direction. What do people think of Lifeinpocket?

Nope, just for a trial period.

That link was for the beta trial from 6 months ago, and you have to download the 8900 version... but you probably won't get an activation code anymore

When I signed up on 12/9 they sent me an activation code and it works great on my 9700. I'm not sure how long it will be free but may as well take advantage of it as long as it is available.

    It's a great app

I was part of the beta user group and used it on my 8900 for a couple of months...

until they disabled my activation code for forgetting to supply feedback

Saw a video on youtube that google maps can work with phones with built in GPS like my 9700 to give pinpoint location (outside), geotag and work as navigation system. Anyone else use it for all 3?

Yes Garmin Mobile works well on the 9700. You must understand that in this world you get what you pay for. Meaning the best things aren't free. If you want turn by turn(voice) you're going to have to pay for it. Otherwise just use BlackBerry Maps or Google maps.
