I'm on my third and my current 9700 is the best in my opinion. With this one I just do not seem to battle the "demons" that I did in the others. There is more than enough memory that I'm not constantly worried about it. The battery is more than ample to get me through a full day. Lastly OS5 is a dream compared to earlier models.

The blackberry 9700 is the best blackberry ever made hands down. The build quality, weight, hardware, keyboard, and OS 5.0 currently offers the best blackberry experience.

I do not have one but my gf who's on my other line has one and its certainly RIMs flagship till they release the dakota. Dakota will have everything, touchscreen, new webkit browser, its going to be awesome.

Any idea when this phone makes its release?

I'm due for an upgrade and am having trouble coming to grips with going away from my 8330. Love the thang!

8900-without a shadow of a doubt. Is very sad that trackball going- I hate the cheapness of the 9700. 8900 is so easy and so reliable. My take !

The 8700 was a great device in it's time. The last blackberry made to be durable without a case. The screen was quite a step up from previous models as well.

Sure the 9700 is bound to be more feature rich... but the 9700 isnt a huge separation from the Tour or 8900.

On that note, the 8700 was the best device among others of its era.

9700. But I love my 8900. Just thought of having a curve makes me happy because the 83xx were so great.

The best Blackberry currently is the 9700

The best Blackberry ever made is the 8330 because it's the phone that changed the company forever. The #1 selling smartphone in the world 2 years straight that blows the iPhone.

The current 8530 continues the legacy of the 8330 and I think it's very well worldwide.

8700 and 7130 are the most durable devices of the past decade.

This decade? Remains to be seen. We haven't had any 2010 releases yet.

I have enjoyed other perspectives on other BlackBerries considered to be the best. Where are my Storm, Tour, Bold 9000, more from other Curves and Pearl users at I'm interested on your take on the subject.

I have the Curve 8530 and I really like it. I don't have a lot of experience with other Blackberries. I owned the Pearl Flip prior to the Curve. I am a little jeaous of the other users who have access to all of these top of the line BB's. Is this infamous 9700 exclusive to a particular carrier. Wish I had more options at USC.

I loved my 8330. Before that I loved my 8130. Now I love my 9530.

I played with the 9700 in store - I didn't like it. It felt wrong.

I've been using BlackBerries since the early 2-Way days... I'd have to say the 9700 is the best right now (I'll include the new Tour as well, since it will be essentially the same phone). For the amount that I use my phones for work and other, it's just the best they've offered to date.

As far as pound for pound, I believe there's a reason that the Curves (8300 series and now 8500) series sell so well. But the newest Bold is easily the flagship of the lineup.
