I'm going to be switching between the passport and classic for a few weeks. Besides swapping My sim out, what is the best way to keep the most current info on whatever device I'm using.

    Is it device switch?

Yep, IMO Device Switch is the best. The only issue you will have is while text messages will transfer, they will have the wrong date and time so will be out of order in your HUB and Text App. Just be patient with it. Your old device will done sending about 5-10 mins before your new device is done receiving and then it takes a few minutes to settle. So don't be surprised if it seems done and then you only have like half your contacts, photos, etc. within a few minutes they'll all appear.

I'm not worried about individual messages. I just want contacts and apps to be up to date.

Then Device Switch which will do the trick for sure.

Whatever you do, have a BlackBerry Link backup handy, just for the worst case... :-)

Also, if contacts are very valuable to you, get Contacts ImEx, Max Contact Manager, Contact X or any of the other ones... save to PC and / or SDcard...

I use an outlook.com email account to keep contacts, Remember, tasks and calendars synced on multiple BlackBerry devices. All I have to do is switch sim and SD card and I'm good to go. Also Link keeps my SD card synced as I switch devices too. The only things that don't sync really are my SMS (which I barely use) and my BBM convos. I wish they would have a cloud sync option for BBM. Even my password keeper is cloud synced so everything I update on whatever BlackBerry is active gets synced across all the devices.

Not a perfect solution, but close enough for me.

Would device switch copy calendar items over between devices?

Are you syncing your calendar with anything other than link? Outlook.com, gmail etc? If you're syncing with outlook.com, gmail it will just sync.
