    Just wondering if BES logs and/or tracks gmail or skype chats like it can with email and SMS?

    If you are sending data through the BES, assume it can be read. If it is going over wifi via TCP, they might not be able to capture the data, but anytime you are using a device with IT policies, your company controls how data is processed.
